Give Tangible Gifts
Tangible items – physical gifts, often called “gifts in-kind”, directly address operational and client needs. In many cases, these items supply material needs and free up fiancials resources for programs, staff salaries and outreach.
We are excited to offer several ways to give tangible items — individually or as a group.
Hold a Drive
Impact the lives of our community’s most vulnerable by holding a drive to collect much needed items. Here are just a few examples of the drives you might consider:
- A Soft Landing for new residents of the Domestic Violence Shelter:
- Small laundry baskets or bags,
- Twin sheet sets,
- Pillows,
- Large bath towels,
- Twin comforters.
- Clean Start – daily supplies for all residents of the Domestic Violence Shelter:
- Toilet paper,
- Paper towels,
- Dishwashing soap,
- Laundry detergent and softener sheets,
- 55-60 gallon garbage bags,
- Hand soap and refills,
- Sanitizing sprays and wipes,
- Sponges,
- Bleach.
- Bonne Cuisine (happy cooking in French 🙂) – items that serve all residents in the kitchens:
- Plastic plates,
- Forks,
- Plastic cups,
- Plastic plates,
- Plastic bowls,
- Coffee,
- Coffee cups,
- Shelf stable creamers and sugar,
- Disposable storage containers of all sizes.
- Camp HOPE Backpacks – helps equip kids impacted by trauma due to violence for a life-changing week of overnight camp:
- Twin sheet sets with pillowcases,
- Pillows,
- Water bottles,
- Journal & Pens,
- Towels – lightweight (not thick bath towels),
- Toiletry kits for each camper,
- Shampoo and Conditioner,
- Body Wash,
- Toothbrush & Toothpaste,
- Deodorant,
- Flashlight – small,
- Sunscreen Spray (Coppertone Kids Spray or Neutrogena Kids Spray) – 30,
- Bug spray (OFF Family Care)
- Youth Services Welcome Kits – for youth coming from homelessness or aging out of foster care:
