Beginning January 1, 2026, a new Tennessee law, known as Savanna’s Law, will enhance public safety and support family violence prevention efforts by creating a public registry for persistent domestic violence offenders. After an offender’s second conviction, their name and photo, along with the date and county of their convictions, will be placed on the registry.
The law is named for Savanna Pucket, a 22-year-old Robertson County deputy who was murdered in 2022 by a man with a record of domestic violence.
Funds the offenders will pay to register will support family violence prevention and intervention services.
