From the Desk of John Jackson, Board Chair
For the past two fiscal years, I have been privileged to serve as Chairman of the Board for Partnership for Families, Children and Adults. As I pass the baton to our next Board President, it is my honor to share reflections on some of our accomplishments and our vision for the new fiscal year.
Four years ago, the board selected Kevin Hyde to serve as CEO. Since that time, Kevin has built an impressive team and, working alongside the board, has led the organization to take significant steps toward greater mission effectiveness. We:

Improved fiscal discipline, more effectively aligned investments with long-term objectives, and built a stable financial regime.

Divested agency-owned computer servers and successfully migrated core technology infrastructure to cloud-based solutions, including a client data management system to securely manage sensitive client data and improve data-based decision making.

Implemented a comprehensive human capital management platform that streamlines Human Resources, payroll, and workforce management.

Established a new customer relations management system to better manage donor relationships, fundraising, events, and communication.

Signed a memorandum of understanding with a Marion County hospital to provide a second Rape Crisis Center location and improve sexual assault and domestic violence services in rural areas.

Reorganized Partnership’s 12 programs to more effectively serve our most vulnerable neighbors across all generations with an expertise in trauma-informed care. The Partnership team is working strategically to expand services via a continuum of care that helps people achieve their full potential by providing safety, stability, and hope for the future.
Looking Ahead
As we begin our new fiscal year, our HOPE Initiative team, led by Michelle Howard, is furiously planning for Camp HOPE, a week-long overnight camp for nearly 80 kids ages 7-17, many of whom have experienced severe trauma due to violence. The year will include many milestones, including:

Four new apartments for youth aging out of foster care and a groundbreaking for the first Supervised Independent Living group home for young women aging out of foster care in East Tennessee.

After partnering with the City of Chattanooga for a $1.5M investment, we will move our primary Rape Crisis Center to the Family Justice Center building and double our clinical capacity.

We are planning an exciting celebration of our 150th anniversary in 2027. You will want to stay tuned for these details.
During all of this, we will deliver the highest level of trauma-informed care to vulnerable neighbors throughout our footprint.
