Join the Partnership Rape Crisis Center as a Forensic Nurse (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner – SANE) and help patients begin to heal with dignity, compassion, and expert care.
As part of our Forensic Nursing Program, you’ll provide trauma-informed medical and forensic services to survivors aged 13 and older of all genders and backgrounds. With calm guidance and professional care, you’ll ensure each patient feels safe, supported, and respected while collecting evidence that is critical to both their health and the pursuit of justice.

Position Title: Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) – Forensic Nurse
Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee (must live within one hour)
Employment Type: Contract
Compensation:
$5/hour on-call pay
$285 per case
Reimbursement for certification, liability insurance, and professional memberships
Schedule: Four 12-hour on-call shifts per month. You only report when a case occurs.
Responsibilities
Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence
Conduct forensic medical exams and collect legal evidence
Administer medications and perform RN-level medical assessments
Maintain confidentiality and collaborate with law enforcement, advocates, and healthcare partners
Testify as an expert witness when needed
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) or higher (NP, Midwife, CRNA) with an unencumbered Tennessee license
Must live within one hour of downtown Chattanooga
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Professional, empathetic, and trauma-informed approach
No prior forensic experience required — training provided with full reimbursement for certification, liability insurance, and professional memberships.
