When Charlotte was forced to move out of her one-room apartment, it was because of more than a lack of running water for four straight months. The bug infestation was unbearable.
But moving into a new, low-income apartment meant leaving behind everything she owned, with the exception of her medication and the clothing she had from her hospital stay.
Fortunately, generous gifts to Partnership’s Elder Services meant Kendra Brabham, Program Manager, could provide cleaning supplies, pull-ups, and bed pads, in addition to clothing, clean towels and other household items Charlotte will need to start again in a clean apartment with running water.
Along the way, Kendra will help Charlotte set up and keep the apartment clean until she is stable.
“This is just one example of how our supporters allow us to provide services and much needed supplies to seniors in need,” says Kendra. “Our work is challenging, but it is so encouraging to know we have partners who care about the clients we serve,” she adds.
