Position: Deaf Services Logistics Coordinator

Reports to: Program Manager

Start Date: Immediately 

Job Summary: Under direction of the Program Manager the Logistics Coordinator (LC), using master strategist skills, is responsible for satisfying company objectives by providing superior analysis and scheduling to ensure an efficient and effective operation. In a courteous and professional manner the LC will create and maintain quality relationships with customers. LC will schedule staff and independent contractors via personal contact, utilizing the eRSP database or available system, with an eye to minimizing costs, maximizing efficiencies without sacrificing established safe work practices. This position will also be responsible for accurately processing paperwork, to include billing, tracking and managing of past due accounts and contractor payroll, utilizing the eRSP database or available system.  

The LC will serve as the facilitator for schedules and appointments, between various types of business and Deaf consumers. Schedulers must listen to the needs of the person requesting the appointment in order to determine the amount of time the appointment will require and then find the time that works best for both the consumer and the vendor and the availability of an interpreter, strategically optimizing the delivery of timely services. The LC should be professional and have the ability to manage multiple calls. Schedulers also manage cancelations, finding the best alternatives for all involved.   


Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree, required with three to five years’ experience in customer service and logistics or scheduling. Previous experience in scheduling, logistics, supply-chain or in health care, insurance industry or medical office experience preferred. 


Salary: Non-Exempt, $18.00/hr. - $20.00/hr.

Position: Deaf Services Program Coordinator (22.5 hrs./week)

Reports to: Program Manager

Start Date: Immediately 

Job Summary: Under the direction of Program Manager the Program Coordinator (PC) serves as an expert in the field of domestic violence involving Deaf individuals. The PC helps build sustainable change within Partnership and between Partnership and partnering organizations that improves the response to Deaf individuals who are victims of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and sexual assault and to hold perpetrators of such crimes accountable. The Program Manager will work with the PC to strengthen multidisciplinary collaborative relationships; increase organizational capacity to provide accessible, safe, and effective services to Deaf individuals who are victims of violence and abuse; identify needs within Partnership; and assist in developing a strategic plan to address those identified needs and build a strong foundation for future work.  

Education/Experience:   BA required, (BSW or MSW preferred). American Sign Language (ASL) as native language or fluency in ASL. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with victimized populations, (specifically domestic violence preferred), and the Deaf community. 

Salary:  Part-time, Non-Exempt, $18.00/hr.

Position: Lead Shelter Case Manager

Reports to: Case Management Program Manager

Start Date: Immediately

Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Case Management Program Manager, the Lead Shelter Case Manager, provides case management/advocacy services to assist participants who may be victims of crime related to issues of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking. The focus is to provide high-quality residential and community-based services that will assist and empower the participants to move toward permanency and to empower victims to break the cycle of abuse and violence. The services rendered by this position will include, but not be limited to, providing families and individuals with the tools to move forward after a life altering experience by stabilizing their lives after the victimization through hotline services, crisis intervention and counseling, shelter-case management, advocacy and helping them to understand and to participate in the criminal justice system, and providing them with a measure of safety and security while assuring that their rights are protected. This position will supervise assigned case management staff, interns, paraprofessionals, and volunteers for quality assurance in implementation of Council on Accreditation (COA) and National Association of Social Workers (NASW) case management standards. Caseload to be no more than 35% of total domestic violence caseload.  

Education/Experience: A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with relevant training in psychology, sociology or other human service and behavioral courses with three to five years of supervisory experience in a human services field. 

Salary:  Grade 170, Range: $17.95/hr.

Position: Shelter House Manager - 2nd Shift

Reports to: Operations Program Manager

Start Date: Immediately

Job Summary: Under the temporary direction of the Operations Program Manager, this position is responsible for providing direct support and services to the shelter; after hour intake; conflict resolution; responding to hotline calls; sexual assault advocacy and general cleaning as assigned. This position also completes data entry and serves as back up resource for crisis workers at the front desk. Responsible to ensure safety of clients and basic duties related to client care. House manager’s main goal is to ensure a healthy and positive shelter environment through life skills opportunities, community building activities etc.

Education/Experience: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a social services field preferred. Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.

Salary:  Grade 160 - $14.00/hr.

Position: Sexual Assault Nurse, Contract Position

Under the general supervision of the Nursing Coordinator and the Medical Director, the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will perform forensic medical exams on victims of sexual assault.  The forensic medical exam involves a detailed history, a physical assessment including a pelvic exam, the collection of evidence, and the administration of prophylactic medications.  The SANE must ensure confidential, quality care for victims by attending to physical, emotional, and educational needs of each patient.  The SANE may also serve as a witness providing objective observations for cases in the judicial system and may participate in a multidisciplinary team that reviews current cases for ongoing coordination.

This is a contract position that requires a minimum of four (4) twelve-hour on-call shifts each month. Scheduling is determined one month in advance. The SANE must adhere to all agency and program policies and procedures to ensure quality care. SANE education and training can be obtained after hire and will be partially reimbursed by the organization. Training may take several months to complete.

Requirements:  Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or higher with an unencumbered license to practice in the State of Tennessee.  Must live within one (1) hour of the organization.  Must have or obtain professional liability insurance.  The SANE should also have excellent writing skills, oral communication, and the ability to empathize and build rapport with patients and their families; the ability to attend meetings and training sessions; basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Word.
