Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the RCYC Supervisor, The RCYC Caseworker is responsible for direct casework to clients of RCYC. Additionally, the RCYC Caseworker is responsible for providing sex health education on HIV, STIs and pregnancy prevention to young women and men up to age 26 aging out of foster care, with history of being in or at risk at being in state custody, or who have experienced childhood physical/sexual abuse or neglect/ or exposure to domestic violence. This position also provides access to financial capability training and the Opportunity Passport program in partnership with the Jim Casey Youth Opportunity Initiative in Hamilton and Bradley counties to youth ages 14-26 years of age who are in foster care or who have aged out of foster care. Other services provided directly or through referrals include: HiSet classes, life skills assessment and training, youth leadership, and activities designed to build social skills and civic engagement.

This position maintains a flexible, organized and efficient work schedule and is subject to work on-call rotation. Performs all related activities such as 1) making full use of agency and community resources, and 2) performing administrative tasks.

Education / Experience: A Baccalaureate degree in social work from an accredited college or university or in a related field such as psychology, sociology or other human and behavioral courses with one year of satisfactory work experience in human services field.

Salary: Grade 160, Range:  $16.41 to $17.94 per hour

Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Directors of RCYC & VSS, the Youth Advocacy Specialist Coordinator will develop comprehensive family-oriented programming for RCYC and VSS which include direct services to children and youth, parenting classes, and support groups. Their role will be focused on developing collaborative relationships with the Hamilton County School System, Department of Children’s Services, and other child related agencies, in order to ensure a seamless service delivery system to child/youth victims of domestic violence. Serve as a liaison to the Family Justice Center, VSS, and partners for services related to children and youth. This positon also aims to widen the age range of the scope of service for RCYC and Partnership as a whole. Provide community education to schools, universities, youth related agencies, and the community at-large regarding issues related to the intersection of domestic violence and child abuse, bullying, dating violence, domestic violence and sexual assault.

Education / Experience: Master’s Degree in Human Services field from an accredited college or university in a related field such as psychology, sociology, or other human behavior degree preferred. Two years of satisfactory work experience in a human services field or equivalent required.

Education / Experience: Must have a B.S. or B. A. degree from an accredited university in a social service or related field. Case management, counseling and community organizing experience preferred At least 1-2 years of experience is required.

Position: Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - CONTRACT POSITION

Under the general supervision of the Nursing Coordinator and the Medical Director, the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will perform forensic medical exams on victims of sexual assault.  The forensic medical exam involves a detailed history, a physical assessment including a pelvic exam, the collection of evidence, and the administration of prophylactic medications.  The SANE must ensure confidential, quality care for victims by attending to physical, emotional, and educational needs of each patient.  The SANE may also serve as a witness providing objective observations for cases in the judicial system and may participate in a multidisciplinary team that reviews current cases for ongoing coordination.

This is a contract position that requires a minimum of four (4) twelve-hour on-call shifts each month.  Scheduling is determined one month in advance.  The SANE must adhere to all agency and program policies and procedures to ensure quality care.  SANE education and training can be obtained after hire and will be partially reimbursed by the organization.  Training may take several months to complete.

Requirements:  Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or higher with an unencumbered license to practice in the State of Tennessee.  Must live within one (1) hour of the organization.  Must have or obtain professional liability insurance.  The SANE should also have excellent writing skills, oral communication, and the ability to empathize and build rapport with patients and their families; the ability to attend meetings and training sessions; basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Word.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Shelter Crisis Shift Supervisor, this position responds to after-hours crisis calls and makes referrals for immediate services for victims of domestic violence sexual assault, sexual assault, elder abuse, intimate partner violence and stalking.  The CW provides after-hours triaging and provides coverage for the front desk after hours.  The position assists after-hour’s first responders through LAP and completes intake on emergency LAP admission. The CW provides customer service at the front desk for residents and visitors/volunteers in the building.  The CW monitors security screens document any incidents in the log and ensures anyone entering the building has been cleared to enter.  The CW provides assessment, crisis counseling, and referral; enters client data into Osnium and provides support to the house manager in emergency situations and notifies the appropriate staff on call when necessary.   They assist the House manager with duties related to maintaining safe, clean and healthy environment.

Education / Experience: An Associate’s degree preferred with 2-3 years’ work experience in a customer service or social services related field.  Bilingual a plus.   

Salary: Non-Exempt, Grade 150, $14.00/hour
