Position: Caseworker, River City Youth Collective (RCYC)

Reports to: Director

Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the River City Youth Collective Supervisor, The RCYC Caseworker is responsible for direct casework to clients  of RCYC. Additionally, the RCYC Caseworker is responsible for providing sex health education on HIV, STIs and pregnancy prevention to young women and men up to age 26 aging out of foster care, with history of being in or at risk at being in state custody, or who have experienced childhood physical/sexual abuse or neglect/ or exposure to domestic violence. This position also provides access to financial capability training and the Opportunity Passport program in partnership with the Jim Casey Youth Opportunity Initiative in Hamilton and Bradley counties to youth ages 14-26 years of age who are in foster care or who have aged out of foster care. Other services provided directly or through referrals include: HiSet classes, life skills assessment and training, youth leadership, and activities designed to build social skills and civic engagement.

This position maintains a flexible, organized and efficient work schedule and is subject to work on-call rotation. Performs all related activities such as 1) making full use of agency and community resources, and 2) performing administrative tasks.

Education / Experience: A Baccalaureate degree in social work from an accredited college or university or in a related field such as psychology, sociology or other human and behavioral courses with one year of satisfactory work experience in human services field.

Salary: Grade 160, Range:  $14.50 to $15.50 per hour

Position: Domestic Violence Shelter Case Manager

Reports to: Shelter Program Manager

Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Shelter PM, the DV Shelter Case Manager provides case management/advocacy services in the Family Violence or Homeless Shelter to assist clients who may be homeless or victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking.
The Shelter case manager performs all related activities including: 1) intake and assessment for shelter housing, 2) assist the client in setting goal to be completed during their shelter experience 3) provide support groups and life skills 4) linking with appropriate agency and community resources, 5) advocating on the victim’s behalf 6) maintaining a shelter environment that is conducive to client success and 7) performing basic administrative tasks.

Position: Program Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Deaf Services

Job Summary: Under the direction of Director, the Coordinator serves as the expert in the field of domestic violence involving Deaf individuals. The Coordinator helps build sustainable change within Partnership and between Partnership and partnering organizations that improves the response to Deaf individuals who are victims of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and sexual assault and to hold perpetrators of such crimes accountable. The Coordinator will establish and strengthen multidisciplinary collaborative relationships; increase organizational capacity to provide accessible, safe, and effective services to Deaf individuals who are victims of violence and abuse; identify needs within Partnership; and develop a plan to address those identified needs to build a strong foundation for future work. 

  • Education / Experience: BA in Social Services required, MSW preferred. 
  • American Sign Language (ASL) as native language or fluency in ASL. 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with victimized populations, specifically domestic violence and the Deaf community.

Salary: Non-Exempt, Grade 190–Range-$21.54- $23.08 per hour
