Position: Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary: Under direction of the Deaf Services Program Manager, the Logistics Coordinator (LC), using master strategist skills, is responsible for satisfying company objectives by providing superior analysis and scheduling to ensure an efficient and effective operation. In a courteous and professional manner, the LC will create and maintain quality relationships with customers. LC will schedule staff and independent contractors via personal contact, utilizing the eRSP database or available system, with an eye to minimizing costs, maximizing efficiencies without sacrificing established safe work practices. This position will also be responsible for accurately processing paperwork, to include billing, tracking and managing of past due accounts and contractor payroll, utilizing the eRSP database or available system. The LC will serve as the facilitator for schedules and appointments, between various types of business and Deaf consumers. Schedulers must listen to the needs of the person requesting the appointment in order to determine the amount of time the appointment will require and then find the time that works best for both the consumer and the vendor and the availability of an interpreter, strategically optimizing the delivery of timely services. The LC should be professional and have the ability to manage multiple calls. Schedulers also manage cancelations, finding the best alternatives for all involved. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree required with three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in customer service and logistics or scheduling. Must be able to communicate in American Sign Language (ASL) and be familiar with Deaf culture.

Position: Rape Crisis Center Program Manager

Job Summary: Under general supervision of the VSS Program Director (PD), the Rape Crisis Center Program Manager provides supervision of Rape Crisis Center (RCC) employees and direct services to victims of sexual assault and/or friends and family members of victims and community outreach regarding sexual assault and access to services available. The RCC Supervisor performs all related activities including: 1) assessment, 2) providing information and referral, 3) hotline counseling, crisis intervention; and crisis counseling 4) linking with appropriate agency and community resources, 5) advocating on the victim’s behalf (i.e. court advocacy), 6) public awareness/education and outreach activities, 7) grant management assistance including reports, 8) supervision of RCC employees/interns/volunteers, 9) liaison and coordination of cases as participant in the Sexual Assault Response Team and 9) assist the PD with the overall operations of the program.

Position: Lead Shelter Case Manager

Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Shelter Program Manager, the Lead Shelter Case Manager (LSCM) provides case management/advocacy services to assist participants who may be victims of crime related to issues of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking. The focus is to provide high-quality residential and community-based services that will assist and empower the participants to move toward permanency and to empower victims to break the cycle of abuse and violence. Services will include but not be limited to: providing families and individuals with the tools to move forward after a life-altering experience; stabilizing their lives after the victimization through hotline services, crisis intervention and counseling, shelter, case management and advocacy; helping them understand and participate in the criminal justice system; and providing them with a measure of safety and security while assuring their rights are protected. The LSCM will supervise assigned case management staff, interns, paraprofessionals and volunteers for quality assurance in implementation of Council on Accreditation (COA) and National Association of Social Workers (NASW) case management standards. Caseloads will be no more than 35% of total domestic violence caseload.

Position: Family Justice Center (FJC) Liaison

Job Summary: The Family Justice Center (FJC) Liaison links Partnership’s Crisis Services with the Chattanooga Family Justice Center. The position provides advocacy services for the Rape Crisis Center and Family Violence Center to assist clients who are victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. The focus is to provide services that will assist and empower the client to move from victim to self-sufficiency and independence and to break the cycle of abuse and violence. Position: Crisis Worker - Part-Time/Weekend 

Start Date: Immediately

Job Summary: The Crisis Worker (CW) responds to afterhours crisis calls and makes referrals for immediate services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The CW provides afterhours triaging and provides coverage for the front desk after hours. The position assists after hours first responders through the Family Violence Hotline and completes intake on emergency admissions. The CW provides customer service at the front desk for residents and visitors/volunteers in the building. The CW monitors security screens, documents any incidents in the log and ensures anyone entering the building has been cleared to enter. The CW provides assessment, crisis counseling, and referral; enters client data into Osnium and provides support to the house manager in emergency situations and notifies the appropriate staff on call when necessary. They assist the House manager with duties related to maintaining a safe, clean and healthy environment.

Position: Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - Contract Position

Contract Position

Under the general supervision of the Nursing Coordinator and the Medical Director, the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will perform forensic medical exams on victims of sexual assault. The forensic medical exam involves a detailed history, a physical assessment including a pelvic exam, the collection of evidence, and the administration of prophylactic medications. The SANE must endure confidential, quality care for victims by attending to physical, emotional, and educational needs of each patient. The SANE may also serve as a witness providing objective observations for cases in the judicial system and may participate in a multidisciplinary team that reviews current cases for ongoing coordination. 

This is a contract position that requires a minimum of four (4) twelve-hour on-call shifts each month. Scheduling is determined one month in advance. The SANE must adhere to all agency and program policies and procedures to ensure quality care. SANE education and training can be obtained after hire and will be partially reimbursed by the organization. Training may take several months to complete.

Requirements: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or higher with an unencumbered license to practice in the State of Tennessee. Must live within one (1) hour of the organization. Must have or obtain professional liability insurance. The SANE should also have excellent writing skills, oral communication, and the ability to empathize and build rapport with patients and their families; the ability to attend meetings and training sessions; basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Word.
